Thanks to @gavinaus for the picture.
Love this moment captured by @catherinestevensonphotography of the Star Gazing event at @delatitewines in Mansfield, Victoria.
What a fun night 🌌Stargazing 🔭⭐ the Delatite Winery in Mansfield in regional Victoria. @delatitewines Thanks Paul and his staff for hosting this event so well.
Massive thanks to Logan Nicholson @lognic04 for being my co-presenter tonight. We had a lovely crowd of 60 budding people of all ages, keen to learn more about this wonderful night sky we have in Australia. Thanks to all that came along and @walker_events for helping making this event happen.
We explored many night sky objects from bright stars, Sirius, Betelguese & Acrux to star clusters such as 47 Tuc and the Pleiades to distant nebula including the Orion Nebula, Eta Carina, The Tarantula Nebula not to mention the planets Mars and Uranus!
Absolutely love spending the school holidays with my little man Strauss. Baking Cookies🍪 banana bread 🍌🍞 brownies 🍫 and milkshakes 🥛. We also have been busy riding his new Quad bike 🚜 and bicycle 🚲.
As we approach the end of the year it's great to reflect on the year that was. I am thankful for the opportunities that came my way and the fantastic people that I have got to work with and the students that I have taught.
I am looking forward to an exciting 2019 with the birth of my second child in July!

A massive thank you to Dr. Eleanor Byler (left) for presenting to the students on Space Squad on how she used nearly a THOUSAND hours of observing time on the 🔭Hubble Space Telescope to date the stars in M31 aka. The Andromeda Galaxy🌌. Nell wrote her PhD in Astrophysics on this topic is a continuing her research in Astrophysics at ANU. @scienceanu
P.S. Nel is also into Space Fashion which I love!! Thanks also to Ingrid McCarthy (right) for all the work that she has done behind the scenes to organise our tour of Mt.Stromlo as well as presenting on how we used specta to work out the kinematics of stars and Galaxies.

Thanks to the amazing duo of Erin-Jane and Anneli from the Questacon Maker Space @questaconnstc for running our 🤖Robot🤖 ✂️Hack🛠 Workshop🧠! Our students had a great time creating life hacks to solve everyday problems as well as thinking back to the problems that the crew and mission support team of Apollo 13 had to solve.

Thank you so much @questaconnstc for our exciting late night program last night. Thanks to all the presenters for their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm! We had a ball!
#TuringTumble!! ⭕⬇️This is a great game to get the grey matter 🧠 going!
This game, that I picked up from @littlebirdelectronics is a great wat to teach how computers work via transistors ~ microscopic switches. It can be played in a group or individually and has 60 challenges in the playbook to solve.
